In this video, Jessica gives you a few really good tips. The first one is about your lighting to illuminate the mirror. Who would have thought to use a picture light in your bathroom instead of a bathroom light fixture? The next one is a good idea to cover up the side of your vanity if you want to enhance the look of your natural marble by using a waterfall edge. Being in the business, I have never thought of this before. I’m sure it is a custom piece of work. And lastly she just goes over the average size of a bathroom vanity which is 36 inches. In a bathroom, install a picture light over a vanity instead of traditional wall hung bath sconces. It is a nice change of pace and it illuminates the mirror just as you would a piece of art.
In a bathroom where the side of your vanity is especially visible, try using a waterfall edge where your countertop material wraps the edge, goes all the way to the floor. It’s a great way to have a really seamless look and also show off a beautiful piece of marble.
The ideal width for a bathroom vanity is at least 36 inches. That gives you enough space for a nice, wide sink basin, but also enough counter top space for all of your essentials.
