Having a large bathroom sink can be a perfect fit depending on the size of your bathroom. With that said, there are two different meanings to this “Large Bathroom Sink” category. The first meaning is that you could have an extra large bathroom vanity. These vanities range from 60-93 inches and are primarily used in master bathrooms. The other meaning is that the sink is literally extra large compared to the normal ones. Let’s take a look at these two different options.
Extra Large Vanities
When deciding on going with an extra large vanity for your remodel, it’s important to take some initial measurements of the space you want to put it. Because they are larger than normal, they may not fit in every bathroom. Measuring first will alleviate any hassle later when the vanity doesn’t fit.
As with any furniture piece, there are many styles available, so it’s a good idea to decide on which style your home or bathroom carries to determine what you will be looking for, before you start shopping. Additionally, if you decide on a traditional furniture style piece, your measurements may change–as not all furniture style pieces need to butt up against the wall. Instead, you can leave a few inches on either side to make them appear as a freestanding piece of furniture. Others, like modern wall mounts, can either go directly to each wall edge, or feature space on either side to appear as if they are “floating.” These changes in measurements will be determined by personal preference, of course. Another option to consider is the modular unit. These vanities come in three separate pieces, two vanity sink sides, and generally a drawer bank in the middle. The great thing about modular units is that they can be moved around to accommodate difficult bathroom measurements.
Overall, when choosing a vanity, it’s important to make sure it’s the right size and style for your tastes. Remember, your vanity is the focal point of your bathroom, so pick the best one, and decorate around it.
Extra Large Sinks
When thinking about an extra large sink, it’s important to pick the right vanity as well. Some vanities come with larger sinks than others. It would be good practice to check the specifications of vanities online or call the seller/manufacturer to ask about larger sized sinks so you make sure you’re getting the correct product. Vessel sinks also come in many different sizes, so these sinks can be an option as well, but you have to make sure that the vanity you choose is drilled properly to fit a vessel sink.
These options will give your master bathroom or bathroom in general a really nice look. Just make sure you have enough room in there for these large vanities and sinks!
