In today’s “Ask the Contractor” question, we asked our trusted resource what he thought was the better option when looking to make an old porcelain tub look new again: repair or go out and buy a new one? He didn’t hesitate on his reply. Repair, repair, repair. If you have a tub to begin with, you’re only going to spend between 250-350 to have someone come out an repair it for you. (And way cheaper if you do it yourself!) A quick Google search showed new clawfoot tubs ranging in price anywhere from $900 to $1500–so we agree! Repairing your existing tub is definitely the way to go!
