Changing from a single sink to a double sink vanity will require a little work, but will most likely bring a smile to whomever you are sharing your bathroom space with. This process is going to require opening the wall and splitting both the water supply lines and the drain lines and directing them to the two new locations. This may require a licensed plumber to make sure there are no leaks inside the wall once the bathroom vanity and sink is set and sheetrock repaired. This is usually a fairly easy task for a professional, but certainly feasible for the DIY-er.
