Have you heard your pipes squealing when you turn on the faucet or shower lately? I personally had this problem recently, so I thought I’d have our Contractor answer it for us.
He said that whining pipes are caused by a base valve of some sort like a shut off valve or the faucet itself or not necessarily the pipes. The noise is caused by a restriction, just as blowing as a whistle or a duck call with out the reed. The fix is to replace the bad valve but to do that is by process of elimination. You’ll want to start with the easiest one to replace like the stop cock or shut off valve and move from there.
