Material: This bath vanity is constructed of a combination of solid Yellow Poplar and plywood with Red Oak Veneers. Poplar is one of the most commonly used woods to build furniture, framework, and paint-grade cabinets. It has a tight, smooth grain and takes stains, and finishes well. Poplar grows tall and straight, so getting lumber in wide widths and long lengths is easy.
In woodworking, wood veneer refers to thin slices of wood made by slicing a thin layer from around a log, usually thinner than 1/8 inch, and glued onto core wood panels, such as plywood, to produce flat panels such as doors, tops, and panels for cabinets. Some types of wood are rare or more expensive, so only using a thin layer over a less expensive material or substrate can achieve the same look or beauty of the expensive wood at a lesser cost.
All hardwoods have been Kiln dried to ensure a stable product that will not expand, contract, or warp.
Counter Top: Quartz is a hard, colorless mineral found in many types of stone. Man-made Quartz countertops are a combination of mostly quartz and resin, which binds the crushed stone together for a non-porous, smooth application, such as countertops and sinks. Quartz countertops are durable, resistant to stains and heat, and ideal for bathroom vanities.
Backsplash: All of our bathroom vanities are listed without a backsplash. Some bathroom vanities may be delivered with a backsplash, but if that backsplash arrives damaged, we cannot ship a replacement backsplash due to high freight damage occurrences. We recommend shopping at your local hardware store or stone fabricator for matching countertop material or using tile as an alternate backsplash.
Finish: The multi-step finish process on the vanities is not only rich with color and pleasing to the eye it is also a very durable outer shell to help protect your furniture from wear and damage that may occur in everyday use. Actual color may vary slightly due to different computer monitor display settings.
Light Assembly Required: The countertop and sink may not be attached to the base cabinet. If not, this will require attachment using silicone (not provided) and additional hardware (provided). Some furniture-style vanities are shipped without the feet attached, which require installation by simply screwing in, all parts included. If additional accessories are included, such as faucets, mirrors, etc., these accessories will require installation. There is NO cutout in the back for plumbing. The plywood back is removable (screwed on) to accurately mark and cut the plumbing holes for installation.
